Cows in the field (again)
The cows were back in the field behind the house again today. There are a lot of them (about 150) so it makes the garden feel very different when they are there.
No rain today and even though it clouded over, after a sunny start to the day, it has felt much warmer and settled.
Duets this morning with Bill. It was good to be playing, struggling for sometime with getting the timing accurate between our two parts on Bolero and then playing a rubato arrangement of Besame Mucho. We were pleased with the results, especially given that no visual contact makes this difficult.
This afternoon I potted up the aubergine, sweet peppers and chillis. The greenhouse is almost full now, with just enough space for the cucumbers.
Can the government really get away with repeating that they have been working very hard, tirelessly, in unprecedented circumstances to protect the NHS and save lives? I fear that we will all be expected to chant the mantra to show our loyalty very soon.
Whatever I think about Dominic Cummings, there is evidence to support what he is saying on almost everything without 'being in the room'.
