Departure

Our final morning in Filey and we were up and packed, saw the favourite off on his two wheel return journey and headed down to the beach for the last time once we had dropped the keys off. Being able to get down to such a beautiful stretch of beach has made our location perfect and I have been very spoiled for my birthday, 3 days with the favourite people, the arrival of some warm weather finally and finding somewhere we will definitely return to. 

Heading home on a Bank Holiday Monday made for a lengthier-than-Friday -trip, a bit of a circuitous route but we avoided all bar one hold up, a lengthy wait to get over the bridge and just one u-turn. Home to unpack and open all the windows to get some air in. Bailey stayed in the house to keep cool and has mainly slept the day away. I think he has had a good time. I certainly have.
