Chateau de Vullierens
What an amazing afternoon. Wildmint and I went to visit these chateau gardens near Morges. It was a beautiful warm, sunny day and a truelly fabulous setting with gardens filled with so so many different iris. We loved the enchanted fairy forest with its ancient oak and ash trees, delicate sculptures and an eerie pond. Elsewhere as we wandered we saw other amazing sculptures (such as life- size lions and a rhinocerous), a water garden and views stretching across Lake Geneva to the French Alps.
We had a light lunch and glass of wine before our visit in the pop-up cafe in the garden.
So for my 300th Blip is my favourite iris photo out of about 100! Extras: an alium ready to bloom, another unusual iris, a gorgeous sculpture hanging in a tree and more iris.
Thanks to Wildmint fir introducing me to blipping, for great company today and for your photo tips!
