A Shore Thing

There is nothing like looking at the beach and the ocean to make you feel grounded. I feel very fortunate to live within a short driving distance of the beach. Although it is cold today the sky is very clear and the sun is shining. Before you know it the weather will warm up and we'll all be back at the beach.
There is still a lot of work to be done to recover from the hurricane. I know my favorite beach, Avon by the sea, probably won't be ready until mid summer. Here in Point Pleasant Beach they are busy working even in this cold weather as I snapped this photo. The cool breeze, well okay, the cold wind still feels good.
As I was standing on the dune to take this picture an elderly man all bundled up walked up next to me. He said, 'it wouldn't be bad if it weren't for this wind.'. He continued, 'still, it's good to get air in your lungs.' He sure is right.
