Today's the day ........................... to blow out the candles

Well, it's been a lovely day - despite the rather indifferent weather that threatened now and then to spoil the party.

But how could such a well-organised occasion, with a host of entertainment laid on (including a full-size bouncy castle) in the garden, presents, barbecue lunch and lots of family to share it with - ever be anything but a rip-roaring success?  This is Josie just after we'd all sung 'Happy Birthday to You' and she'd blown out her candles.

The only one who perhaps found it was all a bit too much, was Brodie the dog.  He was happier to take himself (and his ball) off - to find somewhere quiet and cool to lie down .......................
