He's Ba-ack!

Yes, Dr. David Smith, our interim pastor, has finally returned to the pulpit amidst jokes about how he looked somewhat familiar, but we weren't quite sure of his name!  After joining our hearts and voices in praise and worship, the choir sang another of my new favorites, "Is He Worthy?" with Ben doing the solo.  That prepared our hearts for the sermon, "Living A Life Pleasing To God from First Thessalonians 4:1-18.in which David Smith spoke to us about the need for more in our lives as Christ-followers-----more holiness, more love, more quietness and more hope.  Having more of each of those things in our lives will help each of us to reach out to the world around us and share, not only the holiness, love, quietness and hope, but our reason for having more of all those things, Jesus!  Speaking of sharing we ended our service praying over our youth that are going to camp this coming week, where I am sure there will be a lot of sharing about Jesus.  They will report back at a later service and I am looking forward to hearing about their experiences.  Have you picked one to pray for yet?  I have!
