Plenty of Time to Catch the Train

This morning we woke up early to make the most of our last day here. We enjoyed a breakfast that used up all of the foods in the fridge and headed into town for a bit of shopping. I made a few knitwear purchases in the Zara sale - at 7 euros, how could I possibly say no! - and Ella bought a few presents for people back home. Afterwards, we were both pretty tired of carrying our bags so we headed to a cafe for quiche and salad and cakes (This one was called Intense and the name was not misleading - it was so chocolately!) As we wandered to the station, we suddenly realised that Ella had a lot less time to catch the train than we had realised causing lots of panicked running and rushed goodbyes. It was a shame not to be able to say goodbye properly but at least Ella didn't miss the train and I'd had a nice few days.

I met up with Ludovic and Elsa a short while afterwards and after a bit more window shopping we headed to Aix to meet Marion. We wandered around a few shops then headed to Marion's apartment where we ate lots of chocolate eggs and had a coffee with Anthony. Ludovic decided he wanted to visit another sushi restaurant for dinner so we phoned up to book, they only had space for the second service which starts at 10 o'clock! We passed the time watching Fais pas ci, Fais pas ca which I really like and finally went to the restaurant. It's definitely the latest I've ever been to a restaurant and we were still there at midnight! The desert of beignets with icecream in the center was nice and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. I felt particularly sorry for the man next to me who asked for a fork rather than chopsticks - I completely understood his sentiments, those things are a pain!
