Ripening

The heat that we're having should help the tomatoes on this plant ripen, but my other plants are just starting to get flowers and some very tiny tomatoes.  I picked the first zucchini a couple of days ago and another one this morning, and it looks like we might have some baby beets and carrots ready soon. Yum!
I went for a walk after watering the garden early this morning. I decided to walk on a little country road just up from us where I knew there would be lots of shade. I added an extra of shadows on the road. 
I ate lunch out in the garden and it was quite pleasant in the shade. I used to love the heat but not so much now. It's around 28 degrees again today, too hot for me. Not motivated to do much. I did a quick walk around the house and found only 7 caterpillars and about 15 cocoons, so they're definitely slowing down. Relieved! Maybe the heat's too much for them as well.
