Row the Boat (or machine)

An exhausting and exhilarating day at the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships in London. 2500 juniors competed and it was very tough competition. Tom won the silver medal in the J14 boys - it was a very hard race and only eight metres between the bronze and gold.

Afterwards, as he recovered, 2012 Olympic silver medallist Mark Hunter came over to talk to the medallists and kindly had his photography taken with Tom. He's a lovely man who visited the school a couple of years ago when the rowing club was first being set up, and inspired many of the children rowing there today.
