Impromptu Comfort….

The cats are staying indoors more during this frosty weather. Myrtle managed to upend the clothes airer onto the floor and then settled herself to relax amid clean sheets and bath mats.
We woke to the heaviest frost of the year this morning. It was Minus 4C in our roof space when I left home with Maisie at 6.30am. So it must have been even colder outdoors. Minus 5C apparently in Blenheim. Nearly Minus 10C at St Arnaud, at the Nelson Lakes away to the west of us. I hurried to get home as we had Andy the plumber coming to fix two leaks from our water cylinder. Luckily he managed to fix them without too much drama. An excellent tradesman.
