Shocked But Not Shocked, Maidstone

The football was, of course, unbearably intense so I think everyone was shocked but not shocked. England were sometimes on the rocky side but managed to come back so well after the shock of conceding that goal. The inner steel now seems to be there. Accept the goal, the mistake but don't let it crush you. They seemed to take a big collective deep breath and not to succumb to the panic of previous tournaments. They also, at last, got that bit of luck that had evaded them for so many years that other teams, like Spain, France and Germany have benefited from previously. The final is going to be something else!
Shocked but not shocked also refers to the situation at work as, yet again, techs are once more having to self isolate after another positive test. Unfortunately, it effected two of them who had only been back a couple of days and now have to self isolate for another ten days each once more. This could easily have been avoided if they had put a testing regime at work into place but they haven't and I'm certainly it will eventually lead to workflow stopping altogether or a skeleton staff being completely overrun. As it is we can do little or no photography as no artworks can be brought to us at present hence I've got today and tomorrow off as holiday. For my own sanity I've now decided to to a lateral flow test at home every three or four days.
The good thing about having a day off was being able to go for a really nice lunch with my brother. The food was excellent and the staff were so lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
