Mama Day

She was so looking forward to this day together. Sometimes this can really set the day up to be a nightmare, but it wasn't. She had a private ballet lesson with a new teacher, in person not online. The studio is a street away from the beach so we decided to combine it with a trip. She had a wonderful time in the lesson, despite slight nerves prior to it. She came out absolutely beaming.

She hadn't remembered a swimsuit so decided she'd just swap her ballet tights for shorts and we headed to the beach. The sea was miles away (I sent her for water, after 8 minutes she still hadn't hit the waters edge and used a puddle instead!) but we played with her new ball, dug, walked together and ate hot butties, fresh donuts and very tasty ice cream.

We stopped on the way home to give B donuts we had saved for them and she invited us to see the dog they were sitting for. At home, after tea and practice, we took some time together to sort out a school thing that was bothering her. Having sorted it together and seeing how hyper happy she went, I realised how much it had been weighing on her. She was full of it til close to 10pm!
