Woke up to rain so thought about going back to Edinburgh but could not cancel our booking so decided to drive over to granton on Spey via the snow road and back again . Amazing views but photos were rubbish. Had a wander around the farmers market at granton and bought a birthday present for Ju( or maybe S) Drove back to Tarland and decided to do the Burn O’Vat walk. Lovely walk through woods but we went in the wrong direction for a while, doubled back and then found ourselves back at the car park without having seen it. D went back and found I - poor signage we thought! Tried to stop for tea and cake but everywhere was closed . Got a cold drink from a cheese shop and bought some cheese. Had dinner in the hotel as it’s Sunday and difficult to find anywhere that’s open
