Welcomed A Quick Beer Stop At The Pub

A rather lazy start this morning as we were staying local to Staithes. Late morning we set off along the Cleveland Way to Runswick Bay. It was a stunning walk, following the coastline with some spectacular views back across Staithes.

Runswick Bay was a real treat, and after lunch in a pub at the top of the hill we walked down to the beach to hunt for fossils. We had some minor success but nothing spectacular. The walk back was just as lovely especially when we spotted a pair of common lizards (extra) but we were all rather warm and tired and welcomed a quick beer stop at the pub when we got back.
