Book Club

We sat outside because we were more than 6 ( we thought that still the rule ) but goodness,  it was so hot we wished we were inside .  We should not complain given the temperatures they have been having in Canada and North America but I'm not a sun lover and the generally lower northern temperatures suit me fine.

We had read Life after Life by Kate Atkinson. It was my choice because I had enjoyed her Jackson Brodie detective series but this was, all in all, a more complicated book, perhaps slightly too complicated. It was short listed for the Women's Prize for Fiction in 2013 but sometimes that is not a good advert for a good read.  I enjoyed the book, some did not but that's what a book club is all about.
