2021 Wednesday — The Take-Home
This evening we met Jack & Colleen at Wood Ranch Barbecue & Grill, a delicious place to eat. It was a warm evening here in Southern California, but comfortable to sit outside. I was enjoying the evening so much that I forgot to get a photo of the four of us.
Before we left, his young adult kids phoned to ask their parents to bring home some food. When the waiter brought the “to-go” food to our table, Jack told us to take the dinner rolls because their home is gluten-free (so that’s my desperation photo).
We had been with Jack and his young adult son Zack back in May when they visited us in Cayucos, but Colleen had not been along on that trip, so it was very good to spend time with her too.
We’ve known Jack since he was in junior high school and very active in the youth group that we were involved with as counselors. He is now a very successful money manager and financial advisor, especially for senior citizens. He has made our retirement very financially enjoyable. Some people know how to grow vegetables; Jack knows how to grow money.
It was a fun, fun evening.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
