Well - That Was A Day

I was going to do an experimental turning today so after sawing (by hand) a chunk of wood and turning them to discs and drilling two slightly interlocking mounting 'holes' I started the turning ..... and it left the lathe without warning. After remounting it I started again - and the same thing happened. This time it skimmed my arm and smashed the lid of a storage box.
I switched everything off and went inside for a coffee.
It is still lying there .... I decided to watch the Grand Prix instead.
That was quite eventful too, but had a better ending.
