Crab apple corner

This is a newly planted part of our allotment near the entrance. There was an old tree which has been replaced with a crab apple tree and the committee invited children to do a painting to be displayed, this is the winner.
This year is the 100 year anniversary of the Royal Paddocks Allotment . It was originally part of the Royal Park, one of the paddocks where horses etc were kept.

I know that the committee has had a bespoke weather vane made too. I’m not sure if that will be placed here or somewhere else, maybe on the seed store/ cafe.
Usually on Sunday mornings volunteers sell coffee and cakes but this has not been happening since March 2020. Hopefully it will star up again soon as it’s nice to meet other alotmenteers and have a chat.
