Timing

I did errands this morning and felt a bit like a DPD driver visiting the Charity shop, post office, Lidl, Next, M&S….. I had a list and was on a mission.

OH was playing golf and got home around 1.45. Showered and had lunch before driving to pick up MIL for an outing. By the time we had put the wheelchair in the car, she had shuffled painfully up the drive, and we had dropped off a sample at the doctors we didn’t reach the gardens until 3.30. The clouds had been gathering and the thunder rumbled. Do we risk it? Decided not to and that was definitely the right decision. Waited in the car for it to pass over …… and waited, and waited…..

We drove home and decided to go back another day. We still had to wait in the drive for ten minutes as the rain was so heavy and hailstones huge! Summer- really?
