Shade Behind The 11th

We were glad to spend a few minutes in this shady spot behind the 11th tee on this morning's golf round as the temperature was really beginning to crank up. Played reasonably well but the heat began to take its toll later in the round, especially as the threesome in front of us were getting slower and slower and we had to wait ages to play every shot. I think they must have thought they were playing in The Open, deliberating over which club to use, taking numerous practice swings spending forever living up putts then still playing as badly as us us. At least we play badly quickly!

They managed to pretend we weren't there, of course, rather than let us through.

I did spend the afternoon catching up with the highlights of the last round of The Open so was quite golfed out by the end of the day.
