The heat waves on …

Another 31 degree day of enervating heat here today. It was so hot it really was difficult to do anything constructive. Luckily, with our family here isolating, and our house purchase procedure requiring no input from us today it was probably just as well! Our current accommodation here is a Regency basement studio which has retained a very pleasant temperature. The sunny courtyard area was too hot to use after breakfast until 18h. In the late afternoon we went to the nearby air conditioned Waitrose for summer self catering supplies. (The vast majority of staff and customers were still wearing their masks.)
In the slightly cooler evening air we took a walk around some more of our old haunts here. We have both had a Cheltenham connection since 1972. We are preparing for our third residence here now!
