Demolition Day
What a day for our town our most stand out icon reduced to rubble. If you look at my Sunday blip you will see it standing proud behind the railway. Yesterdays blip the start of the demolition and today gone. All that's left a pile of rubble. Over 130 years it has stood proud in our town. After it was built the publicans wife asked if she raised the money would they add a clock tower. Consent was given and she raised the money in the community. Clock face on four sides of the tower which could be seen all over town.
Rainie and 2 other of my photographic friends came out and we spent the day watching it happen . Clare one of us was the official photographer for the event.
The sun came out late afternoon but prior to that was jolly cold. I dashed home at lunch time and filled a thermos. The hot drink went down well
Thanks again for all you wonderful people that have kept my celebratory blip on the front page
