Yummy cake

Our first social outing today to the local U3A, celebrating its 10th anniversary. It was an outdoor event in the grounds of the church hall. The weather was perfect, about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. 

It was so good to be able to see and chat to to friends. Also to make plans for restarting the groups.

We had a hog roast which was delicious and a choice of 4 cakes; Victoria sponge, lemon, chocolate and gluten free. B and I shared the portions of lemon and Victoria sponge. The cakes were made by the daughter of a former chair person, she captured the activities of the groups perfectly. 

We didn’t stay until the end as I was beginning to flag, so home for a rest.
