First day of our little Welsh roadtrip!

Today was forecast to be the best weather of the week, so we set off for the Gower for some beach time. We arrived in Caswell Bay at about 1pm and went straight for a swim (thankfully the sea was surprisingly warm) then had ice creams before heading back up the hill to the van.

We drove to Freshwater East and found a van spot at the top of the cliff with a lovely view. I’d pre-cooked a dhal at the weekend, so we warmed it up and wandered along the cliff to this beaut of a dinner spot.

In the evening we ventured down some very steep paths to the beach, and spent a couple of hours reading our books and sketching and people-watching.
