Beautiful morning...

at the twelfth century castle site . Andrew de Moray, the brains behind William Wallace’s defeat of the English at Stirling Bridge raised his standard here and was able to survey his vast territory. The Saltire flies here but not a breath of wind today!
The extra is the young male mole that has been running round my lawn for two days. At this time of year, the young are turned out of the nest to fend for themselves and find their own burrow. They are not always effective and are very vulnerable to predation on the surface.
