Finally... Butterflies!
Lots of butterflies.
And bees too.
What a delight to see.
I had an abundance of images from which to choose today. (Hands up all those who never feel they have chosen the 'right' one in that situation).
I popped out while the sun was shining. It looks as though it might be a rainy afternoon, so I was pleased I chose a good moment to nip out with the camera. I shall shortly get stuck into a pile of ironing.
Metaphorically.
Though it does make me think of a couple of weeks ago when I had washed a massive and heavy dust sheet, after our recent decorating. I'd decided to peg it onto the line. It was so heavy whilst wet, I found myself somewhat entangled in it. (A bit like in childhood, that moment when a Thing/jumper is tightly over your head and you can't find the way out and you feel you'll be forever stuck?). Just as I was completely enveloped in dust sheet there was a heavy 'thump' on my thigh. My delight in feeling help had arrived, albeit a little roughly, evaporated to amusement, when I realised it was a dog! Having formed a One Dog Escape Committee (by, I learned later from his owner, standing on the the shoulders of his canine partner in crime and pulling on the door handle!) he couldn't contain his excitement on discovering that in the Free World people were entertaining themselves by throwing gigantic pieces of wet cloth around and hiding in them. His joy knowing no bounds he tore off like a greased rocket to share the good news.
(Apparently he returned home later for his tea. He's one to watch!).
Ironing then. (Procrastination R Us).
