Allenbury's Pastilles

Mrs Oons has  this tin as a memento of her father, who used the pastilles. I did a bit of research and found there is even a market for them as "collectibles", though not high value. It's only a cough sweet tin, for heaven's sake. We use it to hold weights for the kitchen scales, so there's life after sweeties.

It dates from the times when you didn't have to declare what the active ingredients were. You wouldn't get away with that now.
