Beautiful Beaches

It was a bit overcast as we made our way for the hours walk to the most beautiful inlet beach. It’s a lovely walk too hugging the coastline overlooking Skye, Rhum and Eigg. Met a couple of horses roaming free and also met a young girl who had camped overnight in the beach. All alone no other campers around. Proper wild camping not putting your tent at side of road next to beach.

As we neared the beach the sun was starting to come out and it got roasting! We paddled in the crystal clear turquoise sea and the boys climbed the rocks. Cameron was up at the top one probably to get away from my asking if his exam results had arrived! He kept saying he knew and he had told me but I wanted to see them for myself in the official doc. (He got all A’s). We had an hour here on own before some others arrived and were chatting to a big family group from Morecombe who come up to this area every year and stay with the same B and B - they will know it better than us.

We tramped back to the car and home for bacon rolls we were absolutely starving. Boys went for a paddleboard to our beach at Triagh and I sat and read my book. So chilled and enjoying the sun. We heard there was flooding in Glasgow but we had no rain here.

After tea we had a sunset walk at the famous Camusdarach beach of great beauty. The sunset was stunning and Ben ran down the dunes and talked about Satan his new obsession. He renamed the beach Satan Sands!
