Thursday: A Rose …

Dry, chilly and windy sums up today’s weather.
Lovely start to the day chatting on the phone with my daughter and Cousin Idris, who was being “a very good boy” … most of the time!

MrD went off to the mountains on his motorbike and I’d planned on a little drive but I got started on sorting magazines and other papers - a bit more organised now and paper in the recycling for tomorrow.
Made MrD chilli con carne for tea, added some home grown courgette. 
Picked another 4 courgettes this afternoon, 2 good sized ones and 2 smaller ones [Courgette count = 18, with plenty of babies to come!!]
Made myself a variation of fritters: grated courgette, sliced onion, black pepper & salt, beaten egg, gram flour and gluten free self-raising flour. Also made “mint sauce” with spearmint from the garden, Greek yogurt and a squeeze of fresh lemon - all delicious with boiled rice.
