In The Rye

A wee splash of blue - cornflowers? - among the rye, pretty much the last field left to reap on our wander this afternoon after the wheat fields and hay pastures. The good weather is predicted to last for another couple of days so maybe the farmer reckons he can chance it. Hope he’s right!
We’d met up with VeroS and Bea for a regular walk, around Maisingersee with a beergarden finish. Pretty good but out of the shade it was HOT! We then nipped back to Weilheim, picked up S’s brother and headed along to Polling beergarden for our first visit there this year and to celebrate him (hopefully) finding a new flat to rent. They had a really good jazz group playing so we’ll need to check if that’s a regular Friday set. If so, a return beckons. And if not, well it beckons anyway!
Back home in time to get the fan going, put our feet up for a little while then dial into the weekly quiz & chat session. Good fun.
