My first ever attempt at Lino cuts today. I have signed up for a course with a very eminent artist who does lovely limited edition Lino prints, mainly of buildings.
This is a three day summer school which I thought  would be interesting.
Today we did one Lino cut using just one colour ( see extra) and then one with two colours.
I got the hang of it quite quickly having bought a kit of five different Lino cutters ( despite the teaching not being as good as I had hoped!) but think the quality of the drawing is really the deciding factor of how good the end result will be.
Tomorrow we are meant to be designing something which will have four colours!
