Drinking From The Founrain Of Life

I need to do a bit of research on this drinking fountain on the church hall wall .... but I have no idea where to start.

My wander this morning took me past a bit of stencilled graffitti that somebody seems to have taken offence at.

I also found a gate for Dotty .

Crawling through the undergrowth I came across some litchen just hanging off the end of a twig ....... I have never seen it like that before and it seemed to be the only bit around (maybe some smart alex put it there just to confuse me).

While I was down low crawling through the bushes I was good and careful not to crush the snowdrops.

All the trouble and discomfort was for a reason ........... I was trying to get a shot of the Cygnets hairdressers house from a point that it is not normally seen from.

Later I tried to get a shot of some sheep looking over a fence (complete with gate for Dotty) ...... but they ran away as I approached.

Now I am going out for a meal with a mate and his new girlfriend - we will see if she gets SWMBOs approval.

EDIT ............. a wee bit of research has shown that this is a drinking fountain from the Glenfield & Kennedy iron works founded in 1852 by Thomas Kennedy Snr - Inventor of Worlds First Water Meter. They patented the self closing water fountain and this is one of their wall mounted designs.
