A welcome break
After another morning of phone calls I took a very welcome break from the turmoil on the home front to have lunch with the matting group. There are only 7 of us now but all keen to get back to the regular weekly meetings. The lunch was a getting together to decide when to start up again. The date was quickly decided as 8th September and so we settled to lots of catching up and a lovely lunch at The Hive in Nenthead http://https://hivenenthead.co.uk/ They have on display the wall hanging which was completed by locals, and our group are keen to do one for the village hall at Wearhead where we meet. Hence the photo for ideas etc.
Val had given me a lift there and when we dispersed after what was a very convivial reunion, Val asked if I was in a hurry to get home. I'd told all concerned that I wouldn't be available for a couple of hours or so while I was out so an extension was more than welcome. She drove us across to Allenheads where we had coffee and cake at another one of our frequented cafés!

I did have a missed call, which I had heard but ignored while I was out. A few calls made when I returned home but by evening it was "all quiet on the western front". Possibly only until tomorrow but that's another day!
