Path

Gone is the warm, sunny weather from yesterday morning and in comes strong winds and heavy rain. At least it's not going to be snowy as predicted for further north in the country.

The picture shows the path running along the side of the house - difficult to see, but it runs between the porch and the ivy hedge. Cutting that back down to size is one of my jobs over the next few weeks. It is beginning to loom over the porch and almost turn the path into a tunnel.

I even bought one of those hedge trimmers on a long pole, which can be turned to cut horizontally. Having read the instructions and particularly the warning/health and safety section, I'm almost afraid to use it! However, it needs doing badly. Results should be interesting.
