Fire Hose

This morning I went down to the sawmill for more timber offcuts. The rain has freshened the countryside. Already there was more green to be seen. The rain came too late to save many tree from early shedding of leaves, however. I checked on the field of flowers, but it is all yellow, and past its best.

It was heavy going loading my hatchback. It holds a lot. Unloading and putting the wood in the shed finished me off for the day.
