Spiderman's changing story...
Have you ever put tucked Starbucks coffee stirrers into your wristwatch and pretended to be Spiderman?
Just me then?
Now this act of make believe doesn't stem from the new films, but I'm pretty sure Spiderman in days of yore had a different story regarding his webbing. Is it my imagination or does anyone else remember it?
I remember watching either the old TV series of Spiderman or the old Spiderman and his Amazing Friends cartoon, the one with the fire woman and iceman in it, and his webbing being explained as a concoction Peter Parker devised using his scientific skills to compliment his spider like ability of climbing up walls. He kept the web fluid in small metal cartridges around his wrists and had a trigger to fire the webbing under his wrist (hence the coffee stirrer connection).
The Spidey feature films however, say that he developed this webbing as part of a bodily function along with his ability to climb walls.
That always confused me about Spiderman, anyone else remember these versions of SpideyLore?
