Happy Birthday, Granddad
Hot and humid all day. We had an air quality alert so stayed inside as much as possible. My daughter finally got Mack into an urgent care facility which sent her directly to the hospital. Long story short, she went to Children’s Hospital, was diagnosed with pneumonia at 4:00 am, was given the same cocktail President Trump received and came home this evening. More prayers needed for her recovery. Kristen and I kept in touch all night so I did not get any sleep; was useless all day. Today is my hubby’s 70th birthday. He put outside work aside and did paperwork, restrung his mandolin and napped. I treated him to lunch after a visit from my sister and BIL who found a walker hubby can use after his knee replacement surgery. We picked up the chocolate/chocolate birthday cake Kim made and along with Mancil, joined my son and his family who were treating us to a delicious Italian dinner. Everyone in the restaurant sang Happy Birthday before he enjoyed his tasty limoncello cake. Hopefully, we will be able to celebrate this special birthday with Kristen’s family soon. This has been another day filled with many emotions. Thanks for stopping by, leaving stars and lovely comments. Stay safe folks. The numbers of new daily COVID cases here is frightening. “A birthday is not a day to fear. It is a day to celebrate and look forward to the coming year”. —Byron Pulsifer
