They’re Back….

in school. Sunny and hot all day. We had a date with Knights of Columbus friends to serve ice cream sundaes to our parish school children after their lunch. Hubby and I had to be there at 10:00 am to prep. The crew dished up two scoops each in 260 bowls and put them back in the freezer until the first recipients arrived. We were delighted with all the appreciative remarks we received from the students and teachers. Hubby and I added chocolate, strawberry and/or caramel sauce as the kids came through the serving line. Sprinkles and whipped cream were added next. Parker was the only grand at school today. I was able to get a photo with his pizza lunch and his sundae. We have been volunteering at and supporting this school since 1999. Our last grands to attend will graduate this year. We were invited to enjoy some of the leftovers for lunch and that chocolate ice cream was really tasty. It is laundry day as well but otherwise, it’s been a quiet time with our kitties. Mack and Chase are getting stronger every day. Thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful weekend but stay alert out there. “Don't let your ice cream melt while you're counting somebody else's sprinkles.” - Akilah Hughes
