Home to Sammy

A cloudy start, but turned into a beautiful sunny day.  Cloudy again this evening.  Flat calm all day and night.

Arrived back in Shetland, and headed down to fetch Sammy.  Headed back home, and got unpacked.  Got the grass cut, with a million midgies about, and then into Lerwick for shopping.  While in town, popped along the music festival, the first official concert in 18 months.  Later we had a barbecue, friend Julie popped by for it, and then walkies later.  Off our for pints tonight.  Completed my final Covid-19 self test, and another negative.  I don't know how accurate they really are, but all have been negative this week, and glad I've not taken anything back home.

Sammy had been staying with Madeline, and then with sister Laura this past few days.  There has been reports of him out of sorts, so I was really happy to see him again this morning.  After a cheery greeting, and some kisses and cuddles, we set off home.  He had a sleep in his bed, and soon was back to his normal self in no time.  13 years old now, and probably got panicked while we were away.  He has become better friends with Bandit, or Bandit has maybe getting braver as he grows.  Sammy (and Bandit had to sneak in), at mam's, Aith, Cunningsburgh.
