Urquart Castle, Loch Ness

A dull but dry day

We had often passed Urquhart Castle on our way north but we we decided to visit today. It was very important in the 1300s to the 1700s but fell into ruin after that. Perhaps because of it’s location on Loch Ness it has become one of the most visited Castles in Scotland. It certainly is well worth a visit.
