Huge Expanse Of Sandy Beach

A lazy start followed by a trip into Great Yarmouth for a wander up through the Pleasure Beach and along the promenade. Sorry to any Great Yarmouthians but it was a strange place, rather tired and tacky, definitely past its heyday. We did have a fun ride on the Ferris wheel which had some amazing views across the town.

We then headed up to Gorleston on Sea as we had booked lunch on the terrace of the Cliff Hotel. It was really lovely, delicious food and great service with a tremendous (if not rather grey) view over the beach. We finished off with a walk along the huge expanse of sandy beach, admired the Banksy that is part of his recent ‘Spraycation’ tour and I was excited to see the Pier Hotel where the rooftop concert scene in the movie Yesterday was filmed.
