Snowy Breakfast!
It's been a while since I blipped daughter number 2 and I sharing Saturday morning breakfast while daughter number 1 is at her dancing class. I so enjoy just hanging out with her as she is such a happy wee baby. She was a little bit distracted by the snow though and was doing her best impression of an owl trying to get a swatch of it while I tried to distract her attention by transmorphing a spoon into a low flying harrier jump jet!
I am still totally buzzing and reliving in my head the time I spent at the velodrome the other night with the guys. It was such good fun and I cannot wait to do it again. We have booked in to do Accreditation II next Thursday night. It seems such a long time to wait. I got a wee bit over enthusiastic last night at RPM in the warm up track and got pulled back by the stupendous one. I really did think in my head I was back on the boards. It's funny because after riding the fixed geared bike, I was much more in tune with my 'working resistance' and tried to emulate on the spin bike how my legs felt while sprinting round the track with that gear. The net result was that my legs seemed to go much slower and fatigue much faster but I made it to the end of track 6 without dropping down the resistance. Even been checking out track bikes, my current cycle to work bike ends in April and I can apply for another to add to my stable. Might put the Ridgeback up for sale though to accommodate it!
Had a few conversations with close friends and a wee think recently about how exercise obsessed that I must come across to people and perhaps this explains a few things that have happened of late. I know I come across like an evangelised ex smoker but I have decided that I am not going to change who I am to appease anybody. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I am honest so if that annoys anybody then that is truly their problem and not mine. I love my classes and my gym family and I will continue to shout it from the rooftops.
