Rackwick Bay, Hoy
Spent the day over on the isle of Hoy - we walked out to the Old Man and luckily the weather cleared just as we approached the cliff-edge ... no one climbing on it, but I did manage to get some good shots - see extra for the best one, with an obliging seagull flying in front of the stack ;-)
After the coastal walk, we went back over to Rackwick Bay for a brief, and very invigorating, swim! The main snap here shows the bay, with the huge encircling cliffs behind - I thought it captured the sheer majesty of the area perfectly.
If you've never been to Rackwick Bay, it really is an utterly glorious, glorious place; and well worth the effort to visit.
