Brough of Birsay

Went to see the Broch of Gurness, followed by the Brough of Birsay, today ...

... I have *far too many* pictures of both to choose from, but as well as the historical sites, we also really enjoyed the short walk to the top of Birsay and a subsequent brief wander around the unstaffed lighthouse (perched right on the cliff-edge!), which you can see in the snap here.
