The Brotherhood of Gin Producers

In January 2020 we were visiting amandoAlentejo and Mikedetrapia and went on a trip to look at, hear about, and taste Sharish gin. Naturally such an event was blipped, by three of us. We were shown around by the owner, António Cuco, and when he learned where we came from he waxed lyrical about Herno Gin, our local distillery.
It seemed weird at the time that we had never visited Herno Gin ourselves. Today we remedied that and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. Interestingly Magnus  and António were not at all dissimilar - they could almost have been brothers. Magnus was also familiar with, and  complimentary about, Sharish Gin.
In my main picture Magnus is standing in front of the still "Yvonne", named after the owner's mother. In the extra is another still, Marit, named after his wife's mother.
The whole event was in honour of Claire's birthday and there were 8 of us along on the trip. Jan blipped a lovely picture of us all, and has written a lot about the day, so I won't repeat here.
Part of our group were Lis and Paco, who were just starting their long journey back to their home in  Porto. Sharish Gin could be getting a couple more visitors when they get home.
