Almost in France

Gosh, the excitement of being at Glasgow airport, I had to celebrate by purchasing an unnecessary lipstick. Just over two years since I flew anywhere that wasn’t work related.
Arrival at Jersey was a little chaotic as four flights arrived around the same time, meaning it took just an over an hour to to pick up bag and have a PCR test which was skilfully done and much less uncomfortable than my self administered LFTs which does reassure me that I am probably doing them correctly.
Eagerly anticipating the next 6 days walking the Jersey Coastal Path with very congenial companions, and by coincidence a walk leader who first introduced me HF Holidays in 2019.
The blip is the hotel garden, the pool is heated albeit small, not sure if it’s worth the effort. Happily one of the walkers is up for combining the picnic lunch stop with a sea swim.
Pleasantly sleepy now after a sublime meal; and my PCR test result is negative. There is no requirement to isolate during the wait period if you are double vaccinated. And no mask wearing inside the hotel for guests and staff, which feels a little strange.
