Hurtling in to winter
A cold, grey, wet Saturday, and I went down to the 'yard for a Blip of the few remaining leaves on the little acer. Most of them have been blown off by the wind over the last few days. The tree still looks autumnal, but it feels as though we're hurtling in to winter. So far we've resisted turning on the central heating, but I suspect that the fire will be lit this evening.
Talking of which, I must source a new log supplier as ours recently retired, and we have hardly any wood to get us through the winter. What was that about a "snow warning" in The Scotsman yesterday?! No worries though - I'm sure that Boris will battle to maintain gas supplies...
