Rothesay

On Monday we finally decided that trying to get to an island that was in a state of emergency for our holiday was not a good idea. We cancelled the ferries, and negotiated with the letting agency to find alternative accommodation.

They came up trumps with an amazing place in Glendaruel, and area of Scotland I have never really visited.

Today we took the short (5minute) ferry ride to the Isle of Bute to visit the 12C castle in Rothesay. What a blast from the past this wee town is. Anyway, during a short promenade along the short promenade I caught these palm trees blowing in the easterly wind.
