Indoor Bowls

Indoor bowling season has come around!  Last year we never got started due to the Covid close down.  This year it looks as though we'll have a normalish season with few restrictions - mask wearing in the building and using less than the six rinks to limit the number of people in the arena. 

We've got a couple of weeks of practice before the leagues start up and I need it!  I find it a marked transition.  One day bowling on grass with all it's variations in hail, rain or sun and the next, a smooth 'carpet' with no lumps or bumps and no weather issues to consider.  Indoors sounds easier but at this stage one of the hardest things is to keep the bowl out of the ditch and on the rink!
