Getting in the firewood

Wooramel Station is a small, 356,000 acre, cattle and goat station with a ‘station stay’.

We’re camped on the banks of the Wooramel river, an ‘upside down’ river which only has surface flow after heavy rain. Water ‘flows’ under the sand all year round.

The campsite has four giant hot-tubs supplied by artesian bores. The water comes out of the ground at 33 degrees C and is very ‘minerally”.

Dogs welcome everywhere except in the hot tubs. No problem, I don’t like hot baths anyway!

We’re going to do a slow cooked goat pot roast on the campfire. Should be interesting!
